Thank you FFLV, I will now become a teacher and help the children who are in a vulnerable condition, just as I was.
Life took a dramatic turn for Sherin since her father got diagnosed with cancer. Her unemployed mother had to take care of him and their four kids. Being a fatal disease as it was and despite the expensive treatment, Sherin’s father passed away after two years in 2009.
The intense life became more difficult to bear for the mother and the kids. Although her mother was always concerned about their education and upbringing, they found some relief when they first heard about FFLV and immediately came to take admission. Knowing their critical condition, we took in the sisters and despite the struggle, Sherin attended her classes every day.
Always being a social and an outgoing girl, she was very supportive to her classmates, always enthusiastic about participating in extracurricular activities as well as stage performances in the school. Her positive attitude and energetic personality added cheerfulness in the class. She always represented FFLV as our student on international platforms as well.
Sherin completed her school with a specialization in the science field. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in sciences, she decided to pursue her career as a science teacher. Recently, she has been enrolled in D.El.Ed., a diploma in elementary education. She has also started volunteering in local government schools, along with her diploma to teach the younger kids and is being trained to become a professional teacher in the future. Sherin feels that this is her way of giving back to the society and expresses her gratitude towards all the massive support she received from FFLV to bloom and be nourished spiritually, academically, intellectually, mentally and emotionally while interacting with influential and inspiring people from all over the world who visit our school to encourage our girls!
