From Refuse to Reuse

Almost everything we buy and use in our daily lives has a carbon footprint: from production to transportation. And most of it eventually gets thrown away and ends up on the streets, in landfills or in the ocean. We must become more aware of our consumption and habits if we want to help mother earth. To encourage our students to become more environmentally friendly and conscious, we held a contest in which all students from 1st through 12th participated. The assignment was to create an artwork or project or recycle waste products into something reusable. The best project from each class received awards.
