For 30 years, FFLV has been helping girls in places like Vrindavan, India, where they’re often married off young instead of going to school. FFLV runs three schools where over 1800 girls get free education up to 12th grade. We even support them through university. FFLV believes that educating these girls is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and changing their lives for the better. We provide mentorship and support, knowing that education gives these girls the power to make their own choices and build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
School Meals
Each day, 1800 girls receive nourishment through our school meal program, ensuring they have the energy and nutrition they need to grow. From milk and cookies in the morning to a good lunch, these meals make a big difference. as most of these students come from underprivileged families, relying on this as their primary sustenance. We grow fresh veggies for their meals at our farm, making them healthy. We firmly believe that a well-fed child can better focus and learn, which is why sponsoring a student’s meal costs only INR 33.25. Join us in making a difference by gifting a meal today.
Food Distribution
Since 1991, FFLV has been providing meal every evening with rice, lentils, veggies, and butter for anyone who needs it. We also organizes meals for widows, sadhus and the sightless. Our Food ration program is aimed at supporting those families whose situation is so dire that they cannot even afford a meal a day. At present more than 50 families receive monthly food rations; wheat flour, rice, oil, salt, sugar, spices etc. INR 2000 feed a family for a month.
Medical Services
Since 1997, FFLV has been giving free medical help to those who need it. Every day, our school clinics take care of our students’ health. We also have a medical blog that helps people in our community with their health issues. Your support through our blogs can be the difference between life and death for many.
Experts check each medical case and decide what supplies or surgeries are needed and then help fund them. Making sure our school girls and their families stay healthy and happy is really important to us.
Social development
FFLV is dedicated to supporting financial independence among village women by utilizing their talents in embroidery and sewing through vocational training programs. Additionally, FFLV operates a women’s shelter, providing a safe place to protect and empower the most vulnerable women. We tirelessly work towards achieving gender equality.
FFLV initiates various projects to preserve our Earth. These projects include campaigns to raise awareness about cleanliness, the use of eco-friendly bullock carts, establishing plastic bag-free schools, promoting organic farming, implementing water harvesting techniques, conducting tree plantations, and cleaning Vrindavan streets. We must all respect Mother Earth that sustains us humans, animals and plants. She is our mother, and FFLV believes in and promotes respect for our planet.
